August 2011
Implementation of Phase Two of a three-year strategic reorganization of the New York International Gift Fair® occurred in August 2011 with integration of the Gourmet Housewares Show into NYIGF, the addition of new product-focused “neighborhoods” in several divisions and continued refinement of existing categories.
 |
Gourmet Housewares Show®, presently annually in the summer NYIGF markets, includes some 150 exhibitors dedicated to gourmet housewares, positioned adjacent to an additional 200 relevant tabletop suppliers in NYIGF’s Tabletop & Housewares division. The Gourmet Housewares Show has a dedicated entrance and signage, while sharing efficiencies with NYIGF for exhibitor and buyer registration. Educational programming and special events, designed specifically for the specialty gourmet retailer, are presented as part of overall market week programming. |

Creation of Product Neighborhoods within General Gift
 |
A new “neighborhood” of publishers and social stationery suppliers debuted at the summer 2010 NYIGF®, enabling buyers to quickly source and shop this popular product category. Located within the NYIGF’s General Gift division in the 7400-7500 aisles, this focused grouping of exhibitors provides a consolidated resource for specialty paper, note cards, journals, writing instruments and publishing.
